Željava Air Base, located on the border between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, is one of the largest underground military complexes in Europe. Built during the Cold War, it was designed to withstand nuclear attacks and served as a key air force base for the former Yugoslavia. The base features extensive tunnels, aircraft hangars, and infrastructure hidden beneath a mountain. Although it was heavily damaged during the Yugoslav wars, it remains a popular destination for explorers and motorsport enthusiasts.<br><br>Recently, Željava has also inspired virtual motorsport. I’ve created a custom drifting track for Assetto Corsa, modeled after this iconic location. The layout is 90% similar to the one used during this year’s drifting events at Željava, offering players a realistic and challenging experience.
