The development of the i30 N TCR is Hyundai Motorsport's first step into circuit racing, and joining one of the fastest growing categories in motorsport. The development phase began in September 2016, and the first test vehicle raced in April 2017. Based on the i30 model and in line with TCR regulations, the i30 N TCR is powered by a two-liter turbocharged engine with a six-speed sequential transmission.
