LM Hypercars are sports prototype race cars used in the Hypercar class of the World Endurance Championship, alongside LMDh entries from 2022.
The LM Hypercar regulations were created jointly by the Automobile Club and the International Federation as a successor to the LM Prototype LMP1 from the 2021 season onwards.Unlike its predecessor class, where the rules allowed only bespoke prototypes to race in the category, LM Hypercars can either be competition-spec versions of existing hypercars, or specially designed prototypes, with hybrid power being optional for manufacturers.
